Website Case Study: Lapointe Engineering

Overview

Lapointe Engineering, based in Kitimat , British Columbia, is a professional  engineering firm, operating for the past twenty-two years. With over 25 permanent employees, and many additional consultants, their reputation in Northern B.C. for Engineering work and related services, is next to none.

We were approached to provide website redesign and content management services to their current website www.lapointe-eng.com. We prepared an analysis of their needs and after a competitive review process, we were awarded the contract to redesign their website.
Our solution entailed a new website design concept, content structural analysis and a website content management system.

Aim & Objectives

Our Solution

• We took an approval by committee approach and asked Lapointe Staff and Management, key suggestions and ideas for the new website.
• Once the input was qualified our web design team in Vancouver, designed website design mockups to reflect the objectives and ideas for the new website.
• We adhered to website usability  and navigation best practices and created a website navigation outline.
• We integrated our cmsEXPERT content management product into the website, to allow for editing, adding and deleting of the website pages, by the website administrator.
• We provided email and website hosting services.
• Internet & telephone training for the website and content management system
• Technologies used: HTML, ASP.Net, XML and Microsoft SQL Server
• Website Team: Their were 3 members of the website development team for this project. This website was Developed, Designed and Programmed in Vancouver B.C.
